I have this cough, what is it?

it's scratchy, i will be right in the middle of talking to someone (i work front desk at a hotel) and i will just start to cough uncontrollably, with the watery eyes and everything. i thought it was the beginning of a cold but no other symptoms (it's been 4 days now).it started with like a tickle like i'm just clearing my throat but now it's getting into a full blown cough. is it a cold? i don't think it's bronchitis.
